700$ for 2080 super, seems reasonable

It would be interesting to revisit this list when the 3080 becomes more readily available. At $700, it's the exact same price as the GPU in the $1,500 build.

I find it interesting that a few years back for AMD CPUs the general consensus was that their stock cooler was horrible, and now the new one is recommended

man this really was the golden age to make a budget build. 1600 AF + 2060 KO is insane.

I really appreciate how you explain why you choose certain components and what common alternatives might be with their pros and cons; awesome video

I recently swapped from a Geforce 970 to a Radeon RX580 Gaming, and I've noticed my system is more prone to crashing, I found disabling Steam and Discords startup upon boot reduced the crashing substantially, but it still falls down occasionally.

Love these types of videos and love this video. I've already thought of a lot of cpu/gpu combos that I thought/felt were/are appropriate and glad to know I wasn't the only one thinking the same thing lol. Nice to have someone agree with some things and bring incite to my life on other things. I'm an Asus fan boy preferably the ROG series fyi. I like the 1000 dollar build option. I'm currently debating a slight upgrade for both my wife and I's build and my boys'. I have been debating on the cpu/gpu combo for my wife and I. I already know my boys' computers need a upgrade from the r3 1st gen to a r5. They game at 1920x1080 with a 1660 super but there poor r3 struggle with a lot of games we play. My wife and I game at 2560x1080 which is technically 2k gaming so I'm thinking a 3600 from the 2600 so as to give my two boys our 2600s. Then a RTX 3070 so I can save the couple hundred more as if I were to go with the 3080. I dunno we'll see. Any suggestions?

I just want to say thank you so much for this video! I'm looking to build soon and even 6 months later, the fact that you included the amount we should spend on other parts is phenomenal and so so so helpful!

Hey Kyle, thanks for these types of videos. I used it for a helping guide towards my build earlier this year. What would you recommend as a good Avenue of upgrade from a 1600af and 1660 super on a Asus ROG strix 450?

“I won’t be recommending any Intel CPUs for gaming” how far AMD has come... wow.
